Prague has more than 30 main galleries, where you can enjoy variety of art exhibitions from Czech and world artists.


The most visited galleries


THE NATIONAL GALLERY OF PRAGUE is the largest art museum, operating thematically oriented exhibitions at 6 different places in the city.All necessary information on National Gallery and its other locations as opening hours, admission fee etc. you can find here.

  • ST. AGNES OF BOHEMIA CONVENT - U milosrdnęch 17,(map) National Gallery - OLD ART COLLECTION. Permanent exhibition of Bohemia and Central Europe Medieval art and handicrafts, German and Austrian art.

  • CONVENT OF ST. GEORGE - Jirske nam. 33, Praha castle (map) National Gallery - OLD ART COLLECTION. Permanent exhibition of Bohemian art of Mannerism and Baroque, art from Rudolphian period.

  • KINSKY PALACE - Staromestske nam. 12, (map) National Gallery - EXHIBITION SPACES. Permanent exhibition The landscape in Czech art.(17th - 20th century)

  • BLACK MADONNA HOUSE - (Dum u cerne matky bozi) Ovocny trh 19, (map) National Gallery – MUSEUM OF CZECH CUBISM. Permanent exhibition of Czech cubism in a cubist building from the early 20th century.

  • STERNBERG PALACE - Hradcanske nam. 15, Praha castle (map) National Gallery - OLD ART COLLECTION. Permanent exhibition of European art from Antiquity up to the end of Baroque.

  • TRADE FAIR PALACE - (VELETRZNI PALAC) Dukelskęch hrdinu 47, (map) National Gallery - 19th - 21st CENTURIES AND CONTEMPORARY MODERN ART COLLECTION. Permanent exhibition of Czech and international art.



THE PRAGUE CITY GALLERY was founded in 1963 as a body responsible for collecting and exhibiting Czech art of the 19th and 20th centuries. It also supervised the process of restoration and erection of monuments, sculptures, memorial tablets etc. at public places in the city.

The gallery operates exhibitions in 6 different locations in the city. All necessary information on Prague City Gallery and its other locations as opening hours, admission fee etc. you can find here.

  • HOUSE OF THE GOLDEN RING - Tynska 6, (map) Exhibition of art from 2nd half of the 20th century and contemporary art. Currently closed for reconstruction.

  • TROJA CHATEAU - U Trojskeho zamku 1, (map) Exhibition of “Eternal summer in a Roman villa” and “Wine museum and vinothèque”

  • VILLA BILEK - Mickiewiczova 1, (map) Exhibition of leading Czech Art Nouveau artist Mr. Bílek. Currently closed for reconstruction.


  • STONE BELL HOUSE - (Dum u kamenneho zvonu) Staromestske namesti 13, (map). Exhibition of modern and contemporary art.

  • OLD TOWN HALL 2nd floor - Staromestske namesti 1, (map) Exhibition of modern and contemporary art.

  • MUNICIPAL LIBRARY 2nd floor - Marianske namesti 1, (map) Exhibition of modern and contemporary art.
